A MOTORIST had to be rescued from their car after it was wedged in a hedge after careering off the road.
The incident happened in Buckland St Mary, near Chard, at around 10.30am.
Fire crews from Ilminster and Taunton were scrambled and found the driver unable to escape from the vehicle.
They used a winch to pull the car out for the hedgerow and the driver was treated by paramedics.
