THE man responsible for killing Chard youngster Jake Gilmore in a hit-and-run incident is set to be sentenced today (September 10).
Raymond Isherwood, 53, of Bennett Street, Bath, admitted all charges relating to the death of Mr Gilmore, who was 19.
Isherwood appeared at Bristol Crown Court and admitted causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, perverting the course of justice and cultivation of cannabis.
He is set to be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court today.
Former Holyrood Academy student Jake suffered head injuries when he was knocked from his bike in Midland Bridge Road, Bath, at about 9.30pm on Saturday, November 16, last year.
He was taken to the Royal United Hospital but later died.
Following his death, Jake’s parents Toby and Sue paid tribute to their son.
They said their lives changed that day but they ‘would cherish the fabulous memories of our time with him’.
