Horton woman holds family fun day for Musgrove Hospital Beacon Centre
AN inspirational woman from Horton is running a family fun day to raise money for the centre which cared for her during breast cancer treatment.
Ali Burrough was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and received treatment at the Beacon Centre in Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
She has already raised thousands of pounds for SURE, the Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment, from previous events.
The family event is at Barleymow’s Farm Shop in Chard tomorrow (September 13) from 2-6pm. Cream teas, home-made scones and children’s activities, including a bouncy castle, will be on offer.
