GAMING fans in Somerset queued through the night to be among the first to play one of the most eagerly-anticipated computer games of the decade.

Destiny has been in development for five years and has cost more than £310million - more than twice the budget of the new Star Wars films.

At the game store in Taunton, hundreds of fans turned up for their game.

The epic sci-fi fantasy has been developed by Bungie, creators of the 50 million selling Halo franchise, and sells for around £50 for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

It is expected that up to 10 million people will play the game worldwide over the next seven days.
