THREE students from Crewkerne and one from Ilminster have excelled in their A Levels at Richard Huish College.

Angus Lysaczenko, from Ilminster, got three A*s and is now off to Leeds University to study chemical engineering.

Crewkerne students Bradley Johnson, who got four A*s, is off to Exeter University to learn accounting and finance, Chloe Hill, who also got four A*s will move to Leicester University to take medicine and Nicholas Darby, who got four A*s in biology, chemistry, physics and further Maths and one A in Maths will go to Cambridge to study medicine.

Richard Huish College is celebrating another incredibly successful year of A Level results with 90 students gaining three or more A/A*grades, and 38 of these gaining two or more A* grades.

Five students achieved four A* grades - three of these got an additional A grade.

Principal John Abbott said: “This is the seventh consecutive year that we have achieved above 55% A*-B grades and 80% A*-C grades and 99% pass rate overall at A Level.

“This consistent high performance reinforces our position as one of the country's highest performing sixth form colleges. These achievements begin with the efforts of our partner schools and are consolidated by the commitment, work and expertise of students and College staff.”
