A GROUP of Sierra Leone would-be film-makers are using skills acquired from an Ilminster charity to help tackle a deadly disease.

Film-making charity Purple Field Productions trained The Future View Movie Group so it could make its own educational movies.

The group is in Makeni, where the deadly virus Ebola has reached.

The group has been meeting daily and is making a music DVD to give advice on how people can protect themselves from the disease.

The song it has written will be accompanied by a drama illustrating the actions that can be taken against Ebola.

This is necessary as many people do not know about simple preventative measures.

The DVD will be shown in shop windows and other venues in Sierra Leone.

Purple Field Productions is providing advice on the film’s content and all the necessary funding.

It has also made sure that the group has money to buy soap for its members.

Readers who would like to help PFP’s work in Sierra Leone can send a donation to Purple Field Productions, 10 Hill View Terrace, Ilminster TA19 9AL.
