A CHARD Morrisons driver embarked on a charity challenge with his van on Friday (August 1), to raise funds for Sue Ryder.
Nassos Hadjiannopoulos set off from Chard in the afternoon and drove 100 miles to Newbury to mark the fourth 24-hour relay.
The 334-mile race takes place across six counties and connects all 15 Morrisons M local stores within the South-West.
The store in Chard has so far managed to raise £500 for its leg of the race.
Nassos said: “Thank you to everyone who has made such generous donations so far.
“My colleagues and the general public kept me going during my leg!”
Samantha Steadman, from Sue Ryder, added: “It’s fantastic that Morrisons M Locals in the South-West took on this challenge to raise funds for the new healthcare services being set up by Sue Ryder.”
