CHILDREN’S enterprise skills were put to the test in a project at St Andrew’s Primary School this term, to raise money for the pupils’ chosen charity, the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

The class were tasked with creating their own companies to make items that had been recycled, reduced or reused.

Ideas ranged from tea-light holders, cake mix sold in recycled jars, mouse pin cushions and pencil holders which were all sold at the May Fayre.

Year five and six pupils’ hard work during the spring paid off, when they presented a cheque for £158.60 to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

The successful businesses raked in profits of up to £80.
