SIX properties have been evacuated following a bomb scare in Axminster this morning (June 3).
Police were called at 9.15am this morning after reports an unexploded device had been discovered in a garden in the town.
Initially a 200m cordon was set up around the garden in Alexandra Road but this was later reduced to 20m.
Six properties were evacuated and the bomb disposal unit attended and made the area safe.
