A TALENTED horse rider from Winsham was left "over the moon" after her success at the Pontispool Horse Trials today (May 26).

Billie-Ann Warren was competing in a Novice class and finished seventh in a section that included Zara Phillips, Paul Tapner and Nick Gauntlett.

She also managed to pick up the first prize in the Retraining of Racehorse section with her mount Moses.

She said: "Dressage didn't go right to plan but I scored a reasonable 37 which left me in mid-division.

"I was trailblazer for showjumping and cross-country and rolled an unlucky pole to go to cross country on a score of 41.

"Moses gave me a great spin on cross country to jump a super clear round just clocking up a few time penalties to finish on 48.6."
