A BREAST cancer sufferer is organising a fundraising day at Ilminster Cricket Club on Sunday (May 25) to raise money for a charity close to her heart.
Claire Rice was diagnosed in June last year and after a course of chemotherapy she has been given the all clear.
Now, Claire is putting on a family event at the cricket club to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Care and the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital.
She said: "There will be a charity cricket match between past and present players.
"In the morning there is a youth league game and during the afternoon there will be cream teas and cakes and a barbecue.
"The staff were so caring with me and they made a bad situation as good as it could be."
