WESTLIFE star-gone-solo, Shane Filan (pictured), is in concert in Bridgwater this summer, with the Irish singer’s Somerset fans (or ‘Filaners’) getting first pick of the tickets.
Filan was a lead singer of the Simon Cowell-signed boy band which spent 14 years in the music biz.
The group sold over 45 million records worldwide, totting up 14 number-one singles in the UK, and 26 UK top ten singles.
Shane’s debut solo album, ‘You And Me’, sees Filan taking more of an acoustic-pop direction.
He will perform at the Blake Hall in Bridgwater on Saturday, July 19, followed by a gig at Yeovil’s Westlands venue on the following night.
Tickets, priced £30, will be available from the Blake Hall and music shop Strings ’n’ Things in Bridgwater, and Yeovil Westlands, from 10am this Saturday, before opening up to national sales on SeeTickets on Monday (May 12).
Both shows are expected to sell out.
