ENTHUSIASTIC learners at Swanmead Community School in Ilminster have been getting stuck into new challenges in their education, whatever the subject.
An earthquake-themed day also gave Year 7s’ learning a shake up.
The workshops’ day focused on food rationing and emergency provision, and technology involved in developing purpose-built buildings for withstanding tremors.
Pupil Charlie Orr said: “We’ve really enjoyed having fun showing off what we’ve learnt about earthquakes. Learning should always be like this.”
Teacher Mark Hodder added: “It was great to see pupils enjoying the opportunity to be creative using the knowledge they have gained in classrooms.”
