TRANSPORT Minister Robert Goodwill will be travelling along the A303 to see at firsthand the problems experienced by residents, visitors and businesses.

The campaign to improve the A303 is a top priority for Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire county councils, and Cllr David Hall, deputy leader of Somerset County Council, said: “We’re really pleased that the Minister has taken time to understand the real frustrations and problems caused by the A303.

“The route’s a vital artery into the South-West, but it can only fulfil its potential if it’s reliable.

“It has an invaluable contribution to make to our infrastructure and ensuring the resilience of our economy, which is particularly important in light of the recent severe weather."
