A CHARITY football match will be played on Sunday (April 20) in memory of a popular student who died aged just 15.

Bradley Cullen, who went to Swanmead School in Ilminster, died last June due to heart failure brought about by the rare Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy disease.

His friends who play for Ilminster Under-16s have decided to do something positive to raise money for the Action Duchenne charity in his memory.

Many of them grew up with Bradley and attended Greenfylde First School with him.

They are playing a fun match against youth coaches and managers with a band booked afterwards.

The game kicks off at 10.30am, and there will be a raffle and a barbecue if the weather is nice.

All are welcome to watch and there will be a collection bucket on the day.
