AN OPTICIAN in Chard is encouraging budding young designers to get creative in an Easter-themed colouring competition.
Specsavers in Fore Street is calling on primary school children to design a pair of spectacles for their mum or dad, with the winner receiving Easter goodies.
Store director Stephen Watson said: “We are really looking forward to seeing the children’s creations. It’s also a great opportunity for children to visit us in store and learn about the importance of eye health and the benefits of eye examinations from an early age.”
Staff will encourage children who visit the store to colour in their own design and have it displayed on a special Easter-themed wall.
The closing date for the competition is Saturday (April 19) and the winner will be announced on Monday.
