MORE than 70 people enjoyed a night of Latin dancing at The Perry Street Club, in support of The Jemima Layzell Trust.

Guests enjoyed a buffet paid for by local businesses and Matthew John.

Organiser Celia Guppy praised the ‘overwhelming support we have received from friends, family, customers and local businesses’.

She added: “I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who kindly purchased a ticket and gave up their time to make the evening such a great success.

“We are all overwhelmed at our final total which was £1,232 – far beyond our first expectations.”

The Trust thanked Celia for organising the event, its first fundraiser, and thanked Perry Street Club, Complete Meats, Tesco, Barleymow’s, Morrisons, The Co-op, Sainsbury’s, Eleos cafe, The Village Bakery, Roy and Wendy Guppy, Dave and Marilyn Baker, Matthew and Philip John, Joanne Cocker and everyone who supported the event in some way.
