CLASSIC car enthusiasts will be in their element later this year.

Following the success of last year’s event, Ile Valley Classic Car Club and Classic Motoring Organisation will be running their one-day classic car tour – The Wessex Classic Car Tour – to raise funds for Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance on Sunday, September 28.

Starting and finishing near Ilminster, the 100-mile route will take the old cars through beautiful Somerset and Dorset countryside with a stop for lunch at Dorchester in the 17th Century house which featured in Thomas Hardy’s Mayor of Casterbridge as High-Place Hall.

The entry fee for a crew of two is £60, which includes lunch and tea.

Further details and an entry form are available at www.IVCVC.co.uk or by calling Classic Motoring Organisation on 01460- 259547, email info@classic motoring.org.uk
