MP David Laws took a tour of one of Chard’s biggest employers last week.
Mr Laws, MP for the Yeovil constituency, visited the Numatic factory to meet its 800 employees and talk about important national and international subjects.
Numatic owner and managing director Chris Duncan said: “One thing we have to say about David Laws is that he is a jolly good local MP and, disregarding his added responsibility of Education and many other tasks, he does not forget his West Country friends and constituents.
“Some weeks ago we hosted a visit from Vince Cable MP, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, but due to other commitments Mr Laws was not able to be present.
“Not forgetting that he missed this visit we were pleased to welcome him at Numatic last week.”
