A RETIRED plumber has raised more than four times the amount of money he expected by going teetotal for a month.

Michael Drayton, 64, took on the Dryathlon challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of his brother-in-law, who lost his battle with cancer in March last year.

Michael, of Lister’s Hill, Ilminster, said his final fundraising total was £644 despite originally only aiming for £150. He thanked everyone who donated.
