ILMINSTER IT company MonkeyPuzzle Computers is celebrating a double success this week as both the company and apprentice Allan Edwards have been shortlisted for the Somerset Apprentice Awards.
Allan, 20, is up for the Advanced Apprentice of the Year award while the firm has been shortlisted for Micro Employer of the Year.
Allan said: “I would recommend an apprenticeship to anyone as its one of the best ways to learn a trade.
“My work is not just fixing computers; I’ve learnt that it’s about taking those extra steps to help our customers, which becomes so important in a small community.”
Director Phil Wright said: “As we have given Allan greater responsibility within the company, he has consistently risen to the challenge and brought fresh ideas, which has allowed our business to expand and grow by 30%, which is a fantastic achievement.”
Winners will be announced on March 7.
