NEWS reader Jeremy Rook, of Lopen, has been in touch regarding the rainfall he has recorded.
He said: “I’m one of the band of amateur recorders of rainfall reporting to the Environment Agency, and I’ve measured 141mm in February up to Saturday morning – more than twice the long-term average for the month.
“Add 186mm since December 12 and 225mm in January, and it totals 552mm in 65 days, which is 70% of our average annual rainfall.”
