A VAN containing cylinders of acetylene, propane, oxygen and carbon dioxide crashed in Snowdon Hill in Chard.
An ambulance attended the scene at 6.24pm, where a car and a van had crashed, and called in the fire service for assistance with one person trapped.
The fire service set about freeing the trapped people, which was made difficult by the presence of the cylinders.
No damage had occurred to the cylinders and those involved in the crash were rescued safely.
