PUPILS and staff at Tatworth Primary School celebrated their Christmas fundraising when they handed over a large cheque to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance on Thursday.
Almost £2,000 was raised mainly from parents, grandparents and friends giving money at the end of the school’s six Christmas performances in December.
The school chooses a local charity to support each year and over the last ten years has raised more than £12,000.
Barclays Bank is going to match-fund the largest collection, collected at the performance at the Cricket St Thomas Hotel, with £750 – taking the final total to £2,685.
