Pity the other poor mothers who have given birth there this week. Did she have a private room? Indeed, was Parkside set aside for her? Or did she have to share the ward with the lesser mortals of the Taunton area.

I agree. My own personal opinion is that he is too old for her and that it won't last, but as I said, this is my own personal opinion, in which case it's perhaps a good thing they are not married.

Also, I had a private room when I had my baby - it's not exactly special treatment!

What amazed me the most reading the Mercury in my lunch hour at work yesterday was the top story on the Mercury was about Pete Andre, the second was about Matt Cardle pulling out of the Bridgwater Town Hall set he was going to do. Its a shame real news like flooding and the fact many people in the area were facing having their homes flooded out was not the main story.

We have one pop star who is hooked on pills and lets people down who paid money to see him perform for the second time I believe, and another pop star who seems to think we should care he visited our local hospital when he could of used the money he earnt to pay private instead of using the NHS.

Nothing wrong with celebrating life of a newborn but lets not make out that either story or so called celeb cares about the Bridgwater/Taunton Somerset area on a local webpage for the area because they couldn't give a hoot about us locals.

Well said frags27. The headline this week is nothing to do with celebs, it is local flooding, this is much more important to local people than overpaid celebs.

whether you like the couple or not its nice to have some more chirpy news rather than usual muggings, rapes and god knows what else that goes on in this town nowadays.
yes women do give birth on a daily basis but its nice to see something positive written about Musgrove/ the NHS for a change.
If you don't like them why bother going to the trouble of reading and commenting on this story???????
congratulations to Peter & Emily and anyone else who has recently given birth

Honey21 if is the first thing you see on the site yes I would probably read it first and comment as I see fit as I am allowed an opinion, so are you saying I can only comment if I like them or some article I agree with then?. So much for freedom of speech. If everyone said yes well done on any post and didn't express an opinion god what a world we would live in 24x7 robots.

Its a shame that it takes a celeb to appreciate the work that Musgrove does on daily basis year in year out 365 days a year. I fully appreciate this and all the nurses, midwives in the NHS what they do is outstanding in so many ways I see no other mention of the good work Musgrove does, so I looks like it takes a celeb to make us realise this is that what we are saying? News can be happy it doesn't take a Celeb to appreciate this. As for Matt Cardle that's unhappy news for all the disappointed people who like him and spent money on tickets (hope they can go again, or get money back) but is that worth a 2nd major headline compared to people having their houses flooded I think not.

I think its lovely that they've had their baby in the same town as Emily was born, whether it was planned or not. Usually as soon as people become involved in fame it goes straight to their head. They want private, designer clothes, the best etc because money is no object, but Peter & Emily seem really down to earth & just want to live a normal life with their families. Congratulations & good luck to them

Actually, I was referring to the tweet saying (although not a direct quote) :
"OMG Peter Andre and his girlfriend are in the hospital I work at having a baby!!!"
That implies that she works there..... And given her name was quoted in a few papers, I think the hospital will have no trouble finding out who it was ;-)
