A MONTHLY award sponsored by Ilminster and District Lions Club will be presented to a child at Greenfylde First School.
The Improvement Shield will be presented to one child from each of the 12 classes who has shown significant personal improvement – and not necessarily of an academic nature.
John Gidlow, the club’s community services chairman, presented the first round of awards at a special assembly, with all winners also receiving a certificate to take home and keep.
