A PAPER Olympic torch made by a Chard schoolboy is on the final leg of its marathon charity fundraising trail.
Logan McKerrow, aged five, has been listing a replica torch he made from paper, tissue paper, felt and foil on the eBay auction website to raise funds for Hearing Dogs for Deaf Children.
On his fundraising Facebook page, it was announced that this would be the last time ‘Logi Bears Torch’ would be listed.
The post said: “Let’s make this last leg count and raise a fantastic amount of money to end this incredible journey on a mahoosive high.
“Once the 60th torch bearer has received Logan’s Torch and then returned it to us, Logan and his big sister Tamsin will then be sending it to the Queen – Logan’s dream will come true.”
Since it launched, Logan’s torch has raised tens of thousands of pounds for charity and travelled thousands of miles across the world.
The money will help train more hearing dogs and change the lives of deaf children across the UK.
