Forum for local businesses in Chard
2:00pm Thursday 19th September 2013 in News
ONE of the organisers of the first-ever Chard Business Fair at the Guildhall has planned to launch a new networking group in the town.
Ian White is excited about the prospect of a Chard Business Fair Networking Group going from strength to strength in the future.
He said: “With the challenging times we have experienced globally, as a nation and which filters down to a local level, business owners must explore every opportunity to promote not only their businesses and services but ourselves, too.
“With the kind support of many people behind the scenes, I am confident we can make a long-term success of this new networking group building relationships, contacts and business by attending a simply formatted networking meeting.”
The cost of the meeting will be £5 per person. This will help cover administration and event marketing costs and will also be collated towards a special Christmas/New Year Event to be held in January 2014.
Each monthly event will be held in a different location in and around the town. The launch date and venue has been set for September 25 at the Gallery Cafe, Bar and Bistro in Holyrood Street, Chard, from 7pm in readiness for a 7.30pm start.
The meetings will last for around 90 minutes where business people will get an opportunity to explain to all present how their business provides a service or product to their customers.
People are asked to come prepared with a short biography of between 40 to 60 seconds long that they can present to the group.
Always come prepared with business cards and promotional material that they can exchange with new contacts on the night.
Each event will have a Ten Minute Business Blog where there will be an opportunity for anyone by prior arrangement to explain to the group in more detail about themselves, their own business and the profile of customer you are looking to attract.
Please contact by email to firstname.lastname@example.org if anyone would like to reserve a Blog Spot.
Registration for the event is vitally important so Ian can let each meeting venue know how many people are going to attend.
People can register their attendance at www.chardbusinessfair.co.uk
