A CRIMINAL who escaped from a prison in Lincolnshire may be in Somerset.

Police say that 28-year-old John Loverdige may be in the Avon and Somerset area after his escape from HMP North Sea Camp on February 11 and are urging members of the public to remain vigilant.

Loveridge is described as white; around 5ft 8 to 5ft 9inches tall, of a slim build, with short black hair and hazel coloured eyes.

He has a four inch scar on the back of his left hand, a tattoo stating 'Stacey' on his right arm.

It is possible that he may have a beard or be clean shaven.

Anyone who sees John Loveridge or knows where he may be is asked to call 999 immediately.
