Two people trapped after three vehicle collision in Chard

TWO people have been taken to hospital after a three vehicle collision on the A358, Tatworth Road in Chard on Wednesday evening.
Two fire engines from Chard and one from Axminster attended the scene at around 7.30pm where two people were trapped.
Fire crews from Axminster had to use hydraulic rescue equipment to free one of the victim’s legs. The roof of the vehicle was then removed before the casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Rescue crews from Chard also freed a second casualty who was also taken to hospital.
