GARDEN waste collections are now being made again as usual across South Somerset.
The Somerset Waste Partnership suspended collections across the county on January 25 in South Somerset, Mendip and Taunton Deane because of the backlog it was experiencing due to the bad weather conditions.
But garden waste collections are now back running as normal.
A spokesman for SWP said: “We will not be able to return for collections not made during the suspension.
“Quantities of garden waste put out were low, as normal for the time of year, and so the collection crews and vehicles have been working instead in helping clear the backlog of missed refuse collections due to the bad weather.”
