FUNDS for Ilminster Christmas Lights have received a £400 boost thanks to the floral talents of a town florist.
Angie Blackwell, of Cottage Flowers, led Christmas floral demonstrations at the Piccolo di Piazza restaurant in North Street during last year’s Victorian Week.
“We held the demonstrations each morning upstairs in Piccolo during Victorian Week and I’d like to thank everyone who|supported the events and, of course, Jonathan Tremlett, of Piccolo, for his help,” she said.
“The Christmas lights are very important to Ilminster and their committee do a great job, so I wanted to do my bit to support them.”
Angie will be doing similar floral demonstrations again later this month to raise money for another Ilminster community project.
She will be holding the events from Monday, February 25, to Friday, March 1, from 10am to 12noon again at Piccolo under the theme of Spring into Easter. Anyone who wants to attend can book a place with Angie at Cottage Flowers on 01460-53020.
