THE weather forecasters have got it right! Snow started to fall earlier this morning and it looks as if it will cause major traffic disruption on the roads during rush hour.

News chief reporter Steve Sowden travelled from Yeovil to Chard this morning along the A303 and the A358.

"I left just before 5am and it was snowing pretty hard, but the main roads were not too bad - although driving into the snow made it more difficult," he said.

"Coming along the A358 and Donyatt and the snow started to become a lot heavier and it appeared as if it had started snowing earlier in Chard than elsewhere I'd seen."

Steve added: "My message to motorists would be - set off earlier, leave plenty of time to get where you are going and, above all, take care on the roads."
