ANYONE in the Chard, Ilminster or Crewkerne area needing to use a pharmacy over the festive season will have to travel.
All the pharmacies in the three towns will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Boots Pharmacy in Fore Street, Chard, and the Lloyds Pharmacy premises in Fore Street, Chard, and Holyrood Street, Chard, will be closed on the three Bank Holidays.
It is similar in Crewkerne where Boots in Market Street, Crewkerne Pharmacy at Middle Path, and the National Co-Operative Pharmacy in Middle Path will be closed, as will the Merriott Pharmacy in Broadway, Merriott.
Boots in East Street, Ilminster, will be closed, along with the Minster Pharmacy in Silver Street, while the pharmacies in Martock, South Petherton and Stoke-sub-Hamdon are also closing for the Bank Holidays.
The Sainsbury’s Pharmacy at the Riverside Retail Park in Taunton will be open on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day from 10am to 5pm, but closed on Christmas Day.
Superdrug Pharmacy in Paul Street, Taunton, will be open on Christmas Day from 11am to midday.
The Boots Pharmacy in Middle Street, Yeovil, will be open on all three Bank Holidays from 8am to 8pm, while the pharmacy at Asda in Preston Road, Yeovil, will be available from 9am to 5pm on Boxing Day and 10am to 4pm on New Year’s Day.
