THE latest exhibition at The Gallery in Chard features meticulously observed paintings using carefully manipulated light effects and smooth brushwork.
Bristol-based artist Stephen Lovatt is displaying his artwork at the café bar and bistro on Holyrood Street through to Saturday, September 3.
Stephen has a degree in Fine Art from Norwich school of Art, and has been an elected member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art (SGFA) since 2003.
Exhibiting widely throughout the region and beyond, his work has been accepted by the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Miniature Painters and by the Royal West of England Academy.
So far this year Stephen has shown his paintings in a solo show at The Glass Room in Bristol’s Colston Hall and in a joint show at the Tobacco Factory, also in Bristol.
Stephen’s art varies in focus, from the man made to the ephemeral to the timeless.
