SQUEAKY-VOICED comedian, reality show star and pantomime stalwart - these are all words that can be used to describe funnyman Joe Pasquale.

But the man himself prefers a different moniker - adventure junkie.

The audience favourite is coming to Yeovil's Octagon Theatre on October 14 and promises to bring his usual brand of madcap humour and mayhem, with magic tricks, circus skills and various props making an appearance.

He will be even trying his hand at some mind reading as part of a tribute to 16th century prophet Nostradamus.

Joe told the News he thrives on new experiences after winning the 2004 series of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

He said: “The show was definitely a turning point in my career.

“It was like going off on holiday and coming back as Elvis.”

As well as putting him back in the spotlight, clinching the 'King of the Jungle' title also spurred Joe on to fulfil his dream of gaining his pilot's license.

“I thought if I could do those bush tucker trials, I could do anything,” he said.

“I would love to be a pilot full time, although I don't know how passengers would feel about hearing my voice over the speaker!”

The comic insists he is not looking to do any more reality television, although admits he would consider tripping the light fantastic on Strictly Come Dancing.

“I'm not a dancer but I'd definitely give it a go,” he said.

“I love to challenge myself, that was the biggest draw about going into the jungle.”

For now Joe has his hands full preparing for his nationwide tour, which will see him performing 34 dates across the country.

He said: “The travelling is hard but the gigs are fantastic.

“I'm looking forward to coming back to Yeovil, the audiences are great and always really friendly.”

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £17.50 full price, £16.50 for footlights on 01935-422884 or via the link below.
