THE photographic fruit of Ilminster Arts Centre’s first open competition is on public display.
The arts hub launched its Creative Photography Open earlier in July to encourage professional and amateur snappers to submit their best work for judging by Somerset’s Philip Tonkin.
In total, 46 photographers entered 133 photos.
In the end it was Ian Lynes, pictured here, with ‘Familia’ who stole the top £500 prize provided by Chard accountancy firm Lentells.
Ian will join the two winners of the yet to be revealed Visitor’s Choice Award in a joint exhibition at the arts centre in December.
The arts centre’s Creative Photography Open exhibition runs until this Saturday, August 3, from 9.30am to 4.30pm in the week and 9.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday
