WITH over two million records and photographs like the ones here, many of which relate to service personnel, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at RNAS Yeovilton is attracting an ever growing number of enquiries from people who are keen to learn more about their family history.

Such has been the level of interest that the museum’s curatorial department is holding a Family History Day on Thursday, November 8.

People can find out more about how they can obtain information on their family history.

The day includes a family history workshop, and talks by speakers from the Fleet Air Arm Museum, the National Archives at Kew on RN records and Merchant Navy, the Royal Marines Museum and the Royal Navy Submarine Museum.

In addition, there will be a tour of the museum’s Reserve Store with complete access to the Fleet Air Arm Museum.

Tickets cost £20 and can be obtained from research@fleetairarm.com or by calling 01935-842608.
